May 6, 2010 Steve Muench

We are happy to announce that Steve will be back playing with the band this weekend at Jim Porters.  Steve has made great progress over the last few months and we all appreciate the support of our friends, family, and fans.  Also, Mike West and Greg Hensley will be playing with us.  You can never have too many guitars!!!!!

Best to all,
Jim, Don, and Paul

February 8, 2010 Steve Muench

Following up with the previous post, Steve underwent triple bypass surgery on Jan 13th.  Although the surgery was a success he had a problem coming off the ventilator. He was on it for almost three weeks before it was decided to do a tracheotomy.  Since this was done he has made great progress and is now breathing on his own, talking, and up walking.  It has been a rough time for Steve and we know that he has been in everyone's prayers and we are so thankful for that.  We feel that Steve has turned the corner and are looking forward to having Steve back playing with us soon.  Thanks to everyone for the cards and letters and especially for the continued prayers.

All the best in this New Year,

Jim, Don, Steve, and Paul

December 7, 2009 Stve Muench

As some of you know and many of you may not know, Steve has had a heart attack and will need surgery to correct a large amount of arterial blockage.  At this point he is not up to the surgery due to not having enough blood oxygen content.  He has been released from the hospital and is staying with our sister Lola awaiting surgery slated for after the first of the year.  By that time he should be physically able to undergo the operation.

Thanks to all who have giving their support and prayers.  If anyone wishes they can send cards to Steve Muench, c/o Lola Morrison, 7601 Barbour Place Dr, Louisville, Ky 40241.

Filling in for Steve will be Mike West, one of the areas most talented and respected musicians, until he is able to rejoin the group.  A special thanks to Mike.

Again, thanks to all and we'll give updates as we have them.

Have safe and blessed holiday season,

Jim and Don Muench and Paul Barth

Earlier this month Larney and Phyllis Staton brought us to LA to play for their daughter Allison's wedding. It was an amazing time and we were able to see and play for friends we hadn't seen in many years. Thanks so much to Larney, Phyllis, and Allison, for making this happen. And to Allison, congratulations to you and Mike on your wedding and wishing you many many years of happiness.

All my best,
Jim Muench

April 4, 2008 Back From LA
Hello everyone. I just returned from an amazing trip to Los Angeles to visit with friends and do a little playing. Here are some pictures of the trip.

You may recognize Dianne Munro who was kind enough to model a Muench T-shirt on our website. We first met Dianne in Toronto and we are thrilled to rekindle our friendship. Dianne's husband Rick is on the left in photo.

I went with Peter Becket (Player) to a jam at Ronn Moss’(Player, Bold and the Beautiful) house which I found out later was a pajama party. I didn’t have a pair of pajamas so Ronn just happened to have this pair of fire engine red pajamas.....it was all good fun.

Also at the jam were Tony Sciuto (Little River Band), Eliott Easton
(The Cars), with Peter, and Ronn. Here they are performing Player’s smash hit Baby Come Back.

Me and Peter singing some Beatles.

Me, Pete and Ronn.......more Beatles.

Our good friend and brother.....Larney Staton, who was our road
manager for many years. Thanks for the BBQ...!!!!
